Every Day Favourites!

Just a quick one today! We all have products that we consider to be our favourites and you continue to buy them year after year. I picked out four of my most favourite, relatively inexpensive, products ever to share! If you have old faithfuls or anything you would recommend feel free to comment!

Number one on my list is The Body Shop's face loofah pads. I couldn't suggest buying these enough! I've been using them for probably 8 or 9 years now and I couldn't imagine not having them in my bathroom. They're small exfoliating pads that I use alongside soap or facial wash and I use a pad every time I wash my face! Although on The Body Shop website they're under the men's category, don't let that put you off! They're amazing if you have dry skin like me and I always feel more refreshed after exfoliating with them. All you have to do is apply soap/facial wash and rub the pad in circular motions around your face. You get 3 in a pack and they last for absolutely ages!! At only £4.00 a pack I just think they're amazing value and I'd be really upset if they were to ever be discontinued!

Following on from the face loofah pads, I have two favourite moisturisers that I tend to apply after I've used the pads or even just at night time when my skin is getting a bit dry. Garnier's intensive 7 day and Simple's replenishing moisturiser. I don't really favour one over the other as they are both pretty great and leave my skin feeling hydrated all day (although Garnier is probably better if you're using it in your arms or legs). I struggled to find a moisturiser that actually added moisture to my skin but didn't leave my face looking and feeling greasy at the same time and these two are perfect. These products are something that I use daily otherwise my skin feels yuk and I get self conscious about it looking dry!

Lastly, Impulse's Pear & Jasmine body spray is one of my all time favourites. I didn't use to buy body sprays that often because I could never find a scent that I really liked, until I discovered this one! It has a really refreshing, fruity scent that I absolutely love. I feel like it could almost pass as a perfume and at a tenth of the price of some of my perfumes who could complain? I tend to buy this spray more towards the end of the month when I'm out of perfume, scrimping on everything and waiting on payday arriving and it always gets me through those last couple of days; a real life saver!

Thanks for reading.

Payday Splurge & The One That Got Away.

I'm the worst person ever with money, I seriously feel like it burns a hole in my pocket! But then again, who doesn't like to go crazy on payday!? I decided I'd treat myself this month (as if I don't every month!) and I thought I'd share with you what I got!

I got a £40 New Look voucher for my Christmas from my Nana which was great. I love New Look because there's always a great choice of things to buy and for decent prices. I picked up an almost identical shoulder bag to the one in the picture (I couldn't find the exact one on the website) for only £12.99. I got this bag with the intention of taking it on nights out. I have several bags that I take on various occasions but they never seem to be big enough. This bag is great! It's not horribly big but it still holds my purse, keys, make up and even a pair of flats for when my heels get too sore!! And because it's black it goes with everything, I love it.

Along with my bag I also bought this purse. At £9.99 it was cheaper than similar purses in the likes of River Island. I love having big purses, because I end up putting everything in them; keys, phone, makeup, I basically treat a purse like a small handbag! It's great because it has enough room for all my cards and money as well as space for other necessities.

I needed a new bag sooo badly. My friends always make fun of my bags (I'm one of those people who loves an ugly bag) so I thought it was time to get something a little more sophisticated than my usual grubby shoulder bag. At £45 in Accessorize it wasn't exactly cheap but it's fairly good quality so I can tell it will last me a while. It has a lot of space in it for all my things which is really important for me. I also like that you have the option to extend the strap and wear it as more of a shoulder bag rather than a normal handbag. I absolutely love it and I've been talking about it to anyone who'll listen!

My everyday makeup consists of foundation and mascara so I was running low! Superdrug were doing a 'buy one get one half price' offer on Maybelline products so, along with my normal mousse, I picked up an anti-shine stick as well. I also bought primer and mascara, both by NYC.. Not exactly MAC Cosmetics, but they're cheap and I'd highly recommend their products.

I honestly go through so much perfume it's unbelievable! I never really buy it in perfume shops, I usually purchase online because you can get it so much cheaper. My favourite perfumes are Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday and anything in Britney Spears' Fantasy collection. I always buy 100ml bottles of perfume if available because they last so much longer and you get them at a better price as opposed to 30ml or 50ml. The prices of perfumes vary online so it's best if you hunt around a bit first, like anything else I suppose!

I've been thinking about getting a new camera for ages now. Even though I already have a digital one that works fine, I wanted something that could take more professional looking pictures. I looked at DSLRs for a while but they're mega expensive so I decided not to bother. The other night when I was browsing through people's blogs I came across the Instax Mini 8 by Fujifilm quite by accident and I fell in love with it straight away. It's an instant camera and although it wasn't what I had in mind when I started looking at cameras, I'm so happy I bought it! I'm going to do a separate post about it once I play around with it and figure out how to use it properly!

This is the one that got away. I got this necklace along with my purse and bag in New Look. It was a "just shove it in the basket" kind of purchase because it was in the sale and I needed something to accessorise an outfit that I was planning on wearing to a night out the day after. When I got home and was sorting bags out I realised it wasn't there so I went to my car and looked under all my seats but couldn't find it anywhere. I think that when I was cleaning out my car quickly at my friend's house before I got home that night I've accidentally chucked it in a rubbish bag and binned it. I won't lose sleep at night over it but it was still quite a cute little necklace and I probably would have worn it a lot!

New Year, New Start.. almost.

So because it's the start of a new year (kind of) I've decided to completely scrap my old blog and start again from scratch! I hope this time I can actually stick at it because I really like writing and reading other peoples blogs! I'm still going to be talking about everything in general, just hopefully more regularly than I did before!
